Thank You - the shoes are
now on their way! YAY!

Two 40ft shipping containers have been packed and are now on their journey to Tanzania (via Victoria). YAY!

Each container has approximately 24,000 pairs of shoes carefully packed inside, meaning 48,000 people will be receiving a special gift very soon!

Shoes provide a wide range of opportunities including increased health, schooling and employment. Thank you for being a part of this gift of opportunity. In addition, by donating your shoes you are helping to reduce landfill and are supporting our environment. Every once in a while something comes along which you get to be a part of which is really special and captures your heart. What started as a discussion last year created such a wave of generosity I was unprepared for the magnitude of shoes and support that came my way. It was such a joy to meet so many new people and hear so many stories. Thank you for your generosity in donating shoes, spreading the word about the shoe drive and/or organising mini-shoe drives of your own. It was a wonderful team effort to achieve such heights in the first appeal – which on final count reached 55,000 pairs of shoes!

There will be another campaign during the year which we will keep you up to date with once the dates are confirmed. Please hold on to any extra shoes you have until then.
