Barbara Chappell
Barbara Chappell has an Irish heritage that is steeped in the traditions of community life and storytelling. One of Barbara's stories is about the Seanachai (Gaelic/Irish word for storyteller). In the days before books, printing and radio, the Seanachai travelled across Ireland visiting villages and recounting tales based on Celtic folklore and mythology. Through the art of storytelling, the Seanachai was able to bring communitiestogether to share one story.
More than ever before, communities need to work from a shared understanding to survive the challenges ahead. Community radio is such a valuable way to share community stories and connect people and that is Barbara's goal with "Close Encounters of a Community Kind", the program she hosts on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. |

Barb Webb
I host 3am – 6am Mondays. My program is called Shadows in the Night.
First introduced to Coast by my son, Chris, from early days at O'Halloran Hill, and have been a listener ever since. I am very passionate about music, and must have it in my life each day.
I have been in nursing for most of my working life, and am still employed in acute nursing.
I enjoy most genres of music from early '40s to current day, but the '50s, '60s, country, stage & screen are my most popular. I play good varieties of these on my program and do take requests for your favourite artists/track. I love to hear from listeners and feedback is important as it lets us know what you want to hear on Coast.
I am very proud to be a presenter on Coast FM and I hope to continue for many years. It's great to be able to touch so many people in our community through our radio station and I thank you for allowing us as presenters to share your life and your day. |

Barrie Barkla
"I love radio. It's heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind, and theatre of the infinitely possible. At the speed of thought, I can take you with me anywhere in the world, anywhere in time, and bring you safely home again, hopefully feeling a little better than when we started out."
Barrie Barkla may be best remembered by those baby-boomers who still have all their marbles as Max Knight in the 1970's TV soapie, "The Box".
After a successful and varied 50-year career as an actor, singer, writer, director and producer for TV, stage, radio and commercial voice-overs, Barrie has hung up his dancing shoes and bovver boots and returned to his childhood obsession 'radio'. "I don't have to dress up, make up, or learn lines (I've always been devoutly lazy)".
In a parallel life Barrie is also a trained and qualified Crisis Counsellor and until recently worked on the phones with Lifeline, mostly overnight. In his spare time he has also been an accomplished classical pianist, organist and choir master --- loves that erupt occasionally in the music he shares. Pop, classical, jazz, stage and screen, world, fusion....... "anything that produces goosebumps goes in. I trust goosebumps", says Barrie of his programming style. |

Barry & Pamela Callighan
We have both been involved with various bands and the music scene/industry here in SA since our teenage years and grew up with the sounds of the '60s & '70s.
Our other love of the early '50s eventually led us to our current passion for the raw "roots" music that is known as "Rockabilly" and it's great to see and hear many young bands/artists all around the world are still performing and recording this roots music in the style as it was done in the early '50s.
When we are not working, teaching Rock 'n' Roll, or cruising around in our Hot Rod, you can catch us on air here at Coast FM every Friday night at 7pm on the "Boogie Shack" for an hour of "Red Hot" Rockabilly. |

Barry Gower
I joined Coast FM in 1998 where I started on overnight shifts but quickly went to breakfast shifts on Thursdays which I loved. I have been the host of Fridays 'Coast Talk' 9am to 12noon for quite a few years which I also enjoy. Over the years I have filled in on the majority of shifts.
Programming has been my main contribution to the station having been a Program Co-Ordinator for 9 years as well as a member of the Program Committee for some of the other time. I was also a Training Co-Ordinator for some years.
My love of music goes from the '50s to '80s with some country as well. I listen to music at every opportunity either at Coast FM, in my car or at home.
Being a Field Umpire of Aussie Rules football for over 35 years has assisted me to fullfill my dreams as well as being on "the wireless".
CoastFM is a great radio station with a wonderful future.

Ben Dale
I commenced on air on 88.7 Adelaide’s coast FM back in early 2008 as a part-time panel member on the Sunday morning ‘ Talking Football ‘ program. This started off as roughly once a month, and then as required.
It then became a fortnightly gig – sharing alternate weeks with another panel member, until it eventually became a weekly gig.
As I am now (along with Donald and Margaret) the other regular panel member, we decided it would be a good idea for me to learn the panel and provide support to Margaret as required, so I did the ‘ Coast FM Radio presenters course ‘ in September 2010, which was fantastic, great fun and I made some excellent friends (I did the course with other radio presenters – Barrie Barkla, Barb Webb, David Upton, Dean Bradshaw, and Jim Probert .. who can all be heard regularly on Coast FM)
My passion for music then combined with the thought and then the opportunity to get my own music show, which was then an idea that started to grow more and more rapidly in my head ! … Once, I had completed the course successfully, I put my name down for fill-inns and then applied for the alternate Friday morning 1200 – 300am shift, and was successful. I love the opportunity to bring my own style of music to the coast FM listeners. (I really enjoy doing the second hour of my show as a ‘ Love songs on the coast ‘ segment)

Ben "Jahmin" Williams
Ben is one of Coast FM's up & coming presenters. He was a student of the 2011 Coast course and now can be heard hosting Fill Ins at various times of the day or night.
He comes to Coast FM with a decade of community radio experience & is loving his new broadcast home.
Listen out for his brand of upbeat radio with anything from local to international, rock to reggae & much more. |

Bevan Wilckens
I'm Mondays office boy and the host of Wednesday Lunchbox. The music I most like to play is from the 50's/60's. However I don't think there is an era or genre that does not have something to offer in great music.
I arrived at CoastFM in early 2011 after 40 years as an Engineer on cargo ships. I had plenty of time to listen to music and hope that my knowledge of same is evident on air. |
 |
Bob Eldridge
I currently host on the very popular Friday drive show "Music Express" from 4pm to 6pm.
A collector of music from the '50s and '60s, I have always loved it. I am an avid collector of music from that era and have a huge collection of records.
I have been at Coast FM for seven years. I can't dance to save my life, but love the music just the same. Other loves are summer, fishing and camping.
That's me, Bob Eldridge for you.

Brenton and Shiona
Brenton & Shiona Marks keep you entertained as they say "Good Morning, Good Morning". Join them every Tuesday at 6am to a bright breakfast mix of great music.
Our love and appreciation of all things musical is reflected in the veritable "smorgasbord" of music we feature in our shows. Everything from The Andrews Sisters to AC/DC.
Brenton (affectionately known as Pappa Smurf) really loves music from the '30s on and his Big Band Brackets are immensely popular. His next love is Rock & Roll and he really gets the listeners rocking in the last hour of the show.
Shiona's favourite is Smooth, Soul and Rhythm and Blues and features favourites like George Benson and The Platters.
Programming the show every week is a lot of fun and we spend a great deal of our time sourcing different music and special requests for our listeners. The rest of our spare time is spent touring the state with The Golden Girls, an entertainment troupe known both here and interstate for their fund raising concerts. They are sponsored by The Hansen Cancer Research Centre and raise thousands of dollars every year for this worthy cause.
Shiona is also a Board Member of S.A.C.B.A. and is looking forward to being involved with the peak body for Community Radio in S.A.
Everything they do seems to revolve around music and that is what makes the world a better place. |

Brian and Laura Vercoe
Hi, I'm Brian.
The name of our show is Coast Talk, also known as "The Penny Arcade".
As a baby-boomer, the music I enjoy listening to and playing on air is from the '50s, '60s & '70s. My favourite artist is Bobby Darin.
My involvement with Coast FM started on 31st August 2003. My biggest thrill so far was playing the first record I owned on air (Bobby Rydell's Wild One), given to me by my late grandmother.
Programming the show takes me about 3 to 4 hours (better then watching the idiot-box) and I love every minute of it. If you haven't listened to the show yet please do so and let us know what you think as your input is very much appreciated.
Catch you on Wednesday. Brian.
* * * * *
Hi, I'm Laura.
I'm the other half (the sensible one) of the Wednesday morning trio. As a child of the '70s, that is the era I love.
Being involved with my husband Brian (the silly one) every Wednesday is wonderful as we both have a love of music. My favourite artists are Queen, David Cassidy, Dave Clark Five and the Beatles.
My brush with fame was having dinner with Daryl Braithwaite, Garth Porter from Sherbet and former Miss World, Belinda Green.
Talking to all you wonderful people on the phone every Wednesday and hearing your positive comments is very satisfying ... So, many thanks.
Talk to you on the phone soon. Laura.

Charlotte Brown
You can hear me on air on Saturday mornings between 6 - 9am presenting my program 'Charlotte's Web'
I play a great mix of music from the '50s - '80s.
I am very passionate about my music and have it playing from the time I open my eyes in the morning to when I drift off to sleep at the end of my day.
My main love is the easy listening music from the '50s, '60s & '70s plus country from the same era. I play past hits, the forgotten not so big hits that made the charts and ballads.
There are so many great songs from the past that don't often get air play so you can be assured that I'll give them a spin when ever I can.
I enjoy my involvement with Coast FM and you can catch me helping in the office each Tuesday.
My other main interest is spending time with my family and especially my grandchildren (they are the love of my life).
My love of music is rubbing off on them also, which is great!
So why not get caught up in my web every Saturday and share my music with me. |

Chris "Crash" Carpenter
Chris 'Crash' Carpenter brings life into any program that he is asked to host. Crash is like the station's own tow truck and breakdown service and ready to fill in at a moments notice. Chris (or as he is better known) - Crash, plays bright and boppy music throughout his shifts. Expect anything when Crash is on air, from the 50's to the 70's and he has even been known to sneak in the odd 40's track!
Chris is our Sponsorship Manager here at the Coast. If you want to be part of Coast FM's on air Sponsorship Announcements give Chris a call regarding giving your business a boost on Coast-FM please ring 8371 5887 during office hours or on mobile 0400 837 122

Chris Hill
Join the man from the mountains as he plays all the great country music from here and abroad, including some gospel hits as well. The Management get upset with Chris as he ties his horse up outside but at least the manure is great for the roses.
Country Roundup is the name of the show and starts at 2pm and takes you through to 4pm every Saturday. You can even request your favourite country song by ringing 8371 1000. |

Christine
I am your host on the Orange Blossom Special every Sunday 2pm to 4pm. As a dancer I love the Lindy Hop and Rockabilly and that is reflected in the music I play. Music from the '40s, '50s and '60s are what I love the most and I hope you do too.
My first record album, given to me in 1964, was Rob E. G's Hawaiian Guitar. I loved the record then and still do. At that time I was a member of the Rob E. G. Fan Club.
I was introduced to Coast FM by 'The Hound Dog', Bob Shannon. Bob had this time slot on Sunday and was well known for promoting Adelaide talent. I am proud to be able to continue what Bob did so well. I love playing local Rockabilly, Swing, Blues and Jump Blues bands.
By the way, I'm told, You never know what you might hear on a Sunday afternoon!' |
 |
Creighton Baker
Creighton has been around the Coast for quite a while as a floater. He has a huge collection of music from the '50s onwards. Listen in to 88.7 and you will no doubt hear Creighton's great selection of music. |

So please join me for an afternoon of hits and memories.
I look forward to your company every Sunday afternoon on Coast Hits where you hear Adelaide's best variety of music. 88.7 Coast FM |

Dave Gabel
Hi, Dave here…
I was a career soldier and discharged in 2005 after 29 years service. I worked for a time with veteran’s organisations before discovering community radio. I enjoy lending a hand around the station, including committee work and volunteering in the office during the week. Most enjoyably though, I try to help you re-live your lives through the music that we all grew up with in the ‘60s, ‘70s and sometimes ‘80s. I don’t really have a preference for any type of music, and I’ll mix it up and play it for your enjoyment. My aim is to have you tapping your feet and singing along to those tunes that found a special place in your lives. Songs by groups and artists from the period, well-known and not so well-known, will fill your radio, memories will fill your hearts and minds, and the good times can then well and truly roll! I’m usually on air on the first Sunday morning (2am to 5.45am) of each month, and do the odd fill-in every now and then. If you enjoy your music as much as we do, and have a special favourite, give me a call and I’ll do my best to get it from my place to yours. Call me at the station on 8371.1000. Cheers…

Dave Hall
A little history...
I joined Coast FM (then known as SKY FM) in 1992 and was privileged to be a part of a test transmission on Australia Day of that year, so I guess I am one of the 'pioneers'. I have always loved radio and I have held an Amateur Radio License since 1978. This enables me to communicate with people all over the world so I guess it started there. I would fiddle with electronic bits and pieces to construct radio related projects (which often worked - to my amazement!). I still operate my amateur station when I can. It is a great hobby and very easy to get into these days so you might like to give it a whirl. I guess I have always had radio in my blood and often dreamed about being a radio announcer so when the opportunity presented itself, I grabbed it.
I have also been involved in the showbiz industry as I grew up with parents who had a great love of film and cinema. Over the years they have managed various cinemas, and as a consequence I gained experience as a projectionist and learned the art of presenting motion pictures. Aspects of projection are similar to radio presentation but radio is a more personal experience both for me and hopefully you, the listener.
Anyhoo. At present I host 'Spectrum' on Mondays from Noon to 2 p.m. On the program I will grab music and other bits 'n' pieces from various sources and assemble them in some kind of order. You may be bewildered, you may be delighted, but hopefully you will be entertained.
Catch you Mondays!
Dave. |

David "Davo" Thalbourne
In the 70's I trained and qualified for Commercial radio with Phillips & Long Associates. I was offered positions in country commercial radio stations but declined due to work commitments in Adelaide.
In the late 80's I was encouraged to join Coast FM then known as SKY-FM at O'Halloran Hill by my daughters Suzi and Julia's interest in radio. This reignited my own interest to once again play radio, hence my continued involvement in community radio ever since. I have seen many changes and held many management positions with a lot of challenges during that time being President, in particular our name change negotiations with TV's Sky channel which brought about the new name Coast FM. I started working with Sofia in November 2000 on the drive show then the following year she joined me on the Monday breakfast program now named 'Manic Monday' between 6 and 9am. We try to keep the program light and hopefully entertaining for our listeners.

Hi, I'm Dean Bradshaw. I returned home to Adelaide after living in Perth for 35 years, where I was involved in radio on several stations as well as community television.
My main musical interests are jazz, blues and swing including Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and the Big Bands of the '40s.
At present I am enjoying my activity at Coast FM covering as a fill-in presenter. |

The name of the show is POPCORN

Dianna Taylor
A little history...
I just love all kinds of music from the 50's through to current adult contemporary, R&B, Country and Jazz/Blues. Anything that's bright and breezy is what I enjoy bringing to my programme.
I am fortunate to be Media Commentator which means I get to preview heaps of movies every week and then review them from an entertainment point of view during my Wednesday Drive Show. There's also the odd interview in line with what I do throughout the programme. I enjoy light hearted news and humour and have been presenting the quirky and fun segment called "The Unusual World News" for over 15 years - originally on "Psychic Saturday" with Scott Russell Hill and now on Coast FM. If you want fun, bright music and lots of info then join me Wednesday afternoons between 4pm and 6pm.
Keep cool and See you at the Movies.

Eddy Van Reeuwyk
I was born on the 3rd of September 1931 in Rotterdam in The Netherlands and migrated to Australia in November 1955. Since then I have always lived in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. I worked in the sales and service of domestic appliances, specializing in dishwashers and air-conditioning. With my wife Annie, I have three lovely daughters and five grandchildren.
I have been following jazz since 1950 and in 1985, was pleasantly surprised to read an advertisement for people interested in setting up a public radio station. It was to be set up at the TAFE College at O'Halloran Hill. There was minimal jazz on the radio in those days and this was an opportunity to fill that gap.
I became a founder member of the fledgling station called Sky-FM and three months later I found myself in a makeshift studio in Kuitpo Forest recording a jazz programme. I was terrified! The first transmission took place from a caravan, using reel-to-reel and VCR tapes.
I became President of the station during the early 1990s when the official opening took place. I still have some cassette recordings of the opening and of interviews with such notables as Don Hopgood and James Morrison.
After twenty years with the station I still get tremendous enjoyment presenting our weekly show A Touch Of Jazz each Sunday night from 9pm till midnight.

Ester Wenzel
Ester presents her show " The Filipino Connection" every Monday at 8pm and has a big following with her listeners enjoying her style of music and music from her home land. Always a bright show with plenty of chatter to keep you informed with the Filipino Connection only here, on the station with the best variety Coast-FM. |
 |
Gary Clarke
I started with Coast when Ian Ryan was kind enough to invite me to accompany him on Lost In Time on Monday 10pm till midnight.
Between the two of us we cover music of all types and eras, with particular emphasis on b-sides, album tracks and information about events of significance in rock history.
I am an avid reader, love SANFL footy and (tongue firmly in cheek) considered by some to be a beer connoisseur.
I'd like to finish with something profound but can't think of anything so I'll pilfer a quote from Aussie ex-cricketer Doug Walters - "there's no such thing as a bad beer, just that some are better that others". |
 |
Gary Cook
Join Gary every Saturday morning from 2am to 6am where he presents " THE BEAT GOES ON" Great music for the overnight and shift workers or if you are getting up early for whatever reason. His bright personality and obvious love of music comes through on the airwaves. Give him a ring on 8371 1000 to keep him awake. |

Geoff Groth
Hi, I'm Geoff Groth and most people around the station refer to me as "The Doo Wop Man". Born in 1948, I'm the classic post-war baby-boomer.
I've been a listener to Coast FM since 1996 and have always preferred the programs that played '50s & '60s rock. However I still felt unfulfilled in the music I really wanted to hear, namely '50s Doo Wop, or, to give it it's correct title, "Rhythm and Blues Group Vocal Harmony".
It was Coast FM presenter, John Boyd, who challenged me with "if you want to hear more Doo Wop, then join Coast FM and do the presenter's course". I did just that and I was given the opportunity in October 2005, to put a 1 hour program to air. I started on a Sunday afternoon but now I can be heard on Fridays between 6 and 7pm. |

Gilly Dee
"G`day music lovers!"
I'm a baby boomer; I'm full of enthusiasm; and I love making people happy with the music, the memories and the good times the music brings back.
After working in transport for over 23 years, I began my radio career in Adelaide 7 years ago (2002); and within 6 months, I had my very own Rock 'n' Roll show on Saturday Nights, called "Saturday Nite Rock".
After 2 years of Rock 'n' Roll on a Saturday night, I was asked by Coast FM, to shift to the lunch time slot on Monday`s.
I love '50s & '60s Rock 'n' Roll, Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues and Doo-Wop. My 3 greatest entertainers of all time in order of rank are, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly.
I now present a fun filled Rock 'n' Roll show every Tuesday from 12 - 2pm, bringing you the music you want to hear.
Why not give me a call on 8371 1000 and we can reminisce, have a laugh and I'll play your favourite song, just for you. |
 |
Glen "Minibus" Mibus

Jim Probert
A classically trained pianist, turned rocker, I grew up with the music of the fifties. I listened to the Hit Parades at every opportunity & loved the music from the likes of Nat King Cole & Guy Mitchell, Patti Page & Teresa Brewer, and all the rest of those great, great performers.
Then after hearing Johnny O’Keefe at one of Lee Gordon’s Big Shows, I started my own rock ‘n’ roll group, Bobby James & The Esquires, which became one of Adelaide’s biggest bands of the early sixties. The band had the pleasure of working with many of the greats from that era, the Bee Gees, Peter Allen, & the late great Johnny O’Keefe etc.
In more recent years I have developed a love of good modern country music, particularly from Australian artists, and like to include a healthy dose of this genre in my programs.
These days I satisfy my passion for good music by being a Presenter on Coast FM.
If you love good music from the fifties right up to the nineties, with a dash of Country, why not tune into my regular Tuesday morning program, “Coasting Along”, at 3:00 am.

John Boyd
I became involved with Coast FM in January 2001 after a guest spot on Tommy Kaye's Six O'clock Rock program and was instantly hooked on wanting to present my own style of music on Community Radio.
After several guest spots on Tommy's program I undertook the presenter's training course and eventually became J.B. with the H.B. on Six O'clock Rock.
In January 2003 I applied for Tuesday Drive and hosted the program until February 2006 and now host Decades Of Rock on Saturday from 12.00 noon till 2pm along with co-host Kevin Davis.
We present music from the '50s to the late '90s with a bit of attitude (It's gotta be loud with a driving beat - Ballads & Love songs not preferred).
So, if you enjoy music with a little attitude presented in our fun way, then why not join us every Saturday at 12.00 noon.
You can phone in requests on 8371 1000 or email me by clicking the button below. |

John Morrissey
What can be said about this man who presents The Big Beat every Saturday at 4pm. A great variety of music from the past including rock 'n' roll.
Have a listen to The Big Beat on Saturdays at 4pm, you won't be disappointed. |

John O'Neil OAM
My involvement with the three codes of racing in South Australia began at radio station 5DN in 1951, extending to 3UZ and 3DB Melbourne and from 1976 to 1995 on ABC radio throughout South Australia.
Ongoing from 1965 I presented racing programmes on SAS Channel 10 and ABC TV for twenty-one years.
In 2001 I commenced my one hour Saturday racing programme on 88.7 Adelaide's Coast FM at 9.05am.
I was inducted into the South Australian Racing Hall of Fame in August 2007. |

Joy
I joined Coast FM in 2001. I am currently presenting the Thursday breakfast mix having previously hosted Saturday breakfast and before that I presented Wednesday Country for 2 years.
Having taught line dancing for 5 years helped me appreciate and love all styles of music.
I would love you to join me every Thursday for a bright breakfast getting your day off to a great start.
Tune in 6am to 9am and be well and truly entertained with my style of music from the 60's to the 80's with a touch of the 50's. |

Kevin Agostini
I joined the team at Coast FM by accident more so than by design. What started as a difference of opinion with a few mates regarding the outcome of a football match turned into an invitation to come along and observe the Thursday night Coast FM Sports Cap Show.
I enjoyed the program, I signed on as a Producer with my own 15 minute segment and after a few weeks, became a regular on-air panel member.
Coast FM was about to commence a Panel Operators Course for budding announcers so I enlisted. I graduated and spent many long, tiring hours on the midnight to dawn shifts learning the craft.
Now I am a regular member of the Thursday 6.00pm Sports Cap Show and I also present a fantastic 2 hour music show every Friday night at midnight. |
 |
Kevin Davis
I'm a child of the '60s growing up on the beaches of Sydney. Married an Adelaide girl & for the last 35 years lived in the best City in Australia. So although I love the music of the '60s (Beach Boys, Rolling Stones etc) I love most types of music from Country to Rock, and would you believe classical.
Another newfound passion is 88.7 Coast FM, not only in my opinion Adelaide's best Community radio station but also one of Australia's best. Why not join me as I partner the guru of Rock 'n' Roll, the great John Boyd, in a two hour mix of the best '60s, '70s & '80s music mixed with a lot of fun. |
 |
Kevin Wallace and Linda Longster
Known on air as Wally and Lindy Lou. Two of our overnight presenters who work as a team. Linda never sits still as she bounces along to the music. Wally also gets in with the beat. Join them overnight here on Coast FM at 12 midnight Thursday to 3am Friday. When listening to Wally you will want to have some of what he is on. Happy and bright while Lindy Lou keeps him in check. Give this loveable duo a call on 8371 1000. |

Lawrie Neaylon
Having gained valuable experience with my early morning program as "The Midnighter", I am enjoying my new time slot with "Sunday Sunrise". Being in my age bracket, I can relate very passionately to the music of the 1950's onwards.
My times do vary with the lawn bowling season. The Bowls panel present their program "On The Green" from 8am to 9am when in season. My program is then 6am to 8am and when off season, 6am to 9am. For an all year round guarantee of bright music with an extensive variety, join me on Sunday mornings.
My wife Eileen, and myself also are involved as community volunteers particularly with Camp Quality, which we find very rewarding. |

Les Sobieraj
Every Friday night from 10pm to midnight, I present "Friday Rock" with my co-presenter Dave Hall. Both Dave and I grew up in a period when rock music came of age with bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, CCR, The Faces, Slade, Yes, The Rolling Stones, King Crimson, Rush etc. Our primary focus is on the heavier side of rock - this also includes contemporary and modern bands such as Airbourne and Jet. You will hear the familiar classic tracks interspersed with the stuff you haven't heard for a while or never heard at all. So if you are a rock music aficionado, give Friday Rock a whirl 10 p.m. to Midnight every Friday night on Coast FM. Requests are welcome on 8371-1000.
And now for a little about me - I have always had a penchant for radio having graduated from the SABN School of Broadcasting in 1974. My career and raising a family has kept me away from direct involvement in radio. In 2007, I realised that my children had all grown up and left home and thus there was no barrier to me pursuing my interest in presenting a radio program.
I joined Coast FM and was trained as a presenter in March 2007. Like many new presenters, I developed my craft on overnight programs. In 2009, I was awarded the Friday Rock Program. My friendship with Dave Hall and our dual passion for great rock music brought about an on-air marriage in late 2009 which has endured until the present.

I love music of any genre, so join me on Wednesday nights from 10pm to midnight for a Relaxing Interlude.
Music has no era as long as it's soothing to the ear and relaxing to the soul. Sharing it with listeners is my goal. |

Lynne Cavanagh
Hi there. Thanks for listening to Coast FM.
Community radio has been a passion of mine since 1982 where it all started in Malaysia with RAAF Radio Butterworth (RRB), then 2VTRFM Windsor NSW.
In 1987 I joined 4TTT Townsville. As well as presenting programs in 1988, I became their General Manager and enjoyed every moment. Then, as they say in the classics, in February 2000 I was made an offer too good to refuse so I moved to South Australia.
Not working in radio, I very quickly started to miss it.
Coast FM came to the rescue and made me feel very welcome. Being an early morning person I love doing the breakfast show. My aim is to give you a bit of a laugh in the morning, put a smile on your face and set you right for the day. I do have some help in doing this though, as around 7.45am, if he 's not on " walkabout", King Billy Coke bottle joins me.
So if you enjoy a good laugh, music from the sixties through to the "naughties", then I hope you will join me at 6am Friday morning for "Stereo Sunrise".
Cheers, Lynne

Malcolm Hill
Hello there,
I'm Malcolm Hill and I present Thursday Deluxe 8 - 10pm. It is not a request show. It is based on a simple but strong belief that I have..
I believe there is only two kinds of music. Music you like and music you don't.
As a result I only play music with a beat, that's what I like. Favourite artists include the Stray Cats, Southern Culture On The Skids, The Detonators, The Satellites, Daddy Cool, The Doors and Cream to name just a few.
So if you like music that moves, this may be a good one for you to tune into. I know I like it. |

Mario & Bianca Rossi
We are a husband and wife team who have been hosting Radio Roma since the first test transmission in 1986. In the twenty two years since then we have seen many changes and moves, but we are now happily settled in our Sunday 6-8pm time slot.
Our program is primarily aimed at the Australian/Italian community, but all are welcome to listen and enjoy the variety of music and community information we broadcast. |

Mike Parkes
Host of Kicking Country (Wednesdays 2-4pm), Mike's association with the station stretches back to the pre-Coast FM days (SKY-FM) at O'Halloran Hill. With 4 decades in the film, television and radio industries, (both sides of the camera and microphone), Mike has a wealth of experience, and for many years was "the voice of the station" on most of the promos and the like.
In 2007, after a 2 year break from presenting the popular Classic Breakfast on Tuesdays, Mike started Kicking Country. The show is presented in a unique, television-style format and features mainly contemporary country music with a heavy Australian content, along with a smattering of interviews with local, interstate and international recording artists (in 2011 reaching 1,000 interviews in under 200 shows); plus regular special music-themed shows, and online requests from listeners around Australia and the world. |

I came to present Tuesday drive on Coast via the Vets On Air Show where I shared time with a fellow Vietnam veteran John Gillman – and re-discovered the music I had grown up with.
I lived in Africa as a child and re-located to Britain in 1961, just as the British music revolution began – the most exciting time of music in my life.
Many weird and wonderful years later – and after I retired from a 30-year career in journalism – I found the music that had been part of my DNA was cherished by many other people.
My philosophy is simple: I play music for those driving home which is the same music I'd want to hear if I was behind the wheel. But of course there's more. On Driving On The Coast I want to give my listeners a feel-good trip home with a laugh, a joke and a feeling we are spending two hours face-to-face just enjoying ourselves. |

Phil Davis
Phil has been a qualified presenter here at Coast-FM for around 4 years. Phil is one of the Big Beat team on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Phil has been a floater filling in on all various shifts.
A very large collection of music from '50s to the '70s keeps Phil busy listening and choosing music for his shows. Phil loves his rock and roll and can be seen at most venues around town as he sometimes dances with several women at once. Now that is real talent!!! |

Phil Webster
The very talented Phil joins our racing guru John O'Neil at 9.05am to present the racing show till 10am. |

I've been at Coast FM for three years with sport being my main passion. I am part of the Sports Cap team every Thursday between 6 and 8pm.
I play turf cricket for Pembroke and have played district as well as representative cricket in the UK. Hockey, Soccer and Tennis are the other sports I have played at competitive level. Outside of playing sport, my main interests are watching sport, travelling and socialising with friends and family. |

Rob McLennan
I became involved in Community Radio in 1984 with 3-Way FM in Warrnambool, Victoria, where I was president for eight years and am now a life-member.
In 1998 I joined Coast FM as a breakfast announcer. I was president for two years and on the Management Committee for four years.
I have recently retired from the Management Committee of the South Australian Community Broadcasting Association (SACBA).
I continue to present Wednesday's breakfast program - a hobby which I love. |

Robin Carbins
I was introduced to Coast by the 'Vets on Air" radio show now on Tuesdays from 6 to 8pm. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to share my own music. I now have my own program "Reminiscing with Robin" Monday mornings from 12 midnight to 2am, although at the present time I am filling in from 11pm Sunday. I don't like heavy rock, so most of my music is from the '60s and '70s with other eras thrown in, but only the good music, soft rock to rock ballads, a little bit of country, blues and a great mixture of all the well known and less known hits.
I still enjoy being on the "Vet's on air" show and would like you to join me for some great music. |

In 2000 I joined Radio Adelaide (5UV) as a volunteer. When a radio course was to start I was asked whether I would like to become a Presenter, I decided to give it a go. After finishing my course I did an overnight program called 'The Night Owl' for just over 4years.
At around the same time a friend suggested I try Coast FM as he believed it was my type of music.
Barry Gower invited me as a guest presenter on his program and I later joined Davo for the 'Drive Show'. Davo and I hit it off straight away and have continued to work together ever since. I also did an overnight program for just over 4 and a half years called 'Travelling the Coast'. I enjoy working at Coast FM and hope to continue as long as I can. I still get a buzz when listeners tell me that they enjoy the music we choose for our Monday morning program 'Manic Monday' from 6am to 9am. |

Stuey Shaw
Hello and Welcome.
I'm Stuey Shaw and I present ROCK RELICS every Friday Night between 8 - 10 pm.
ROCK RELICS bristles with great sounds of the 1960's and occasional excursions to the '50s, '70s, '80s and beyond. Expect anything from raucous Rock 'n' Roll to what I call Wonderful Woosies....err, these are Beat Ballads.
I play big hits, not so big hits and some that were not hits at all. Expect 'B' sides and album tracks, usually from real vinyl. Oh yeah, and there is always at least a couple of tracks from my all time favourite band the superb Dave Clark Five.
David Walker usually joins me and he fossicks through his vinyl collection to find 3 of his delights.
Please join us on Friday nights. We look forward to your company when Rock Relics goes to air. |

I host Bible Spotlight from 8-9pm every Sunday. Every week I have a guest interviewee or two to present on a relevant and practical Bible topic.
If you're new to the Bible or a seasoned pro I'm sure you'll enjoy our discussions and gain a deeper insight into what this book means for today.
I look forward to your company and don't forget to call if you've got a question or topic suggestion!

Tommy Kaye
Radio for me has been a life journey. Sneaking in the back door of 5KA in my teens, I knew radio was in my jeans, er genes!
Coast FM started from on top of the hill, almost twenty years ago. I was there! So was Rock'n'Roll!
Originally with a 2 hour program called Rostrum Magazine (which ran for ten years and collected many radio awards) I then moved to a Wednesday morning program, Wednesday Coast-Talk, which still continues today. Then, after a promotion in my day job, I moved to do two mid-dawn shifts at the old studios at O'Halloran Hill.
As the station developed and grew, it shed its dance music image, and after a year of doing the lonely old breakfast shift on Sunday morning, I moved into the Saturday night shift ... and the Tommy Kaye Show was born!
The original Tommy Kaye Show, Hits and Memories was designed as an informative '60s and '70s party mixer show, but then amazing things happened! Listeners actually started to ... ring in!
The station became better known and the station began to attract listeners that loved classic Rock'n'Roll music from the '50s and '60s.
The original four hour show on Saturday night, which began mid 1998, became a labour of love.
So, why not join me and the only Rock 'n' Roll request show on Adelaide radio. Every Saturday nite, from six o'clock! Some of the regular listeners have been listening for years. Why not join them. The sponsors love the show and so will you!
Tune in, you'll love the music, because it's your music!

I have been a presenter on Coast FM since 2004. A retired Public Servant (Customs) I have enjoyed listening to music since the '50s. My favourite styles of music are Country and '50s & '60s Rock 'n' Roll and Pop.
My show is My Kinda Country. I am a firm believer in playing and promoting Australian artists and their music and I enjoy live concerts by local and overseas artists.
I also join Maurie Huxley for Gospel & Country every Friday at 2pm. |
